SCARECROW CONTEST
Scarecrow heads and bodies will be provided by the Carnegie Arts Center for a city-wide Scarecrow competition in conjunction with the 2024 Autumn in Alliance Festival.
HOW MANY SCARECROWS:
-20 Scarecrows will be provided for the first 20 individuals or businesses that claim and pick them up.
-Anyone is welcome to make their own scarecrow head and body and enter it into the competition as well.
WHEN TO PICK UP SCARECROWS:
AUG 27TH – SEP 7TH
-Scarecrows will be available for pickup at Carnegie as long as supplies last.
-Persons or businesses can call to claim a scarecrow, but it must be picked up within two days from time of call.
WHAT TO DO WITH SCARECROWS:
-Entrants are allowed to dress up their scarecrow any way they like.

-MOST CREATIVE
PHOTOGRAPHS DUE:
SEP 14TH AT MIDNIGHT
-Two photos of your scarecrow must be received by Carnegie Arts Center at art@carnegieartscenter.com to enter the contest.
-One photograph from the side and one photograph from the front must be submitted for judging.
-Email with photo must include
-Title for scarecrow
-Name of individual or business
-Where scarecrow is located
A note: Organizing 20 photos, artists, and a voting template takes time and effort, therefore, submissions past SEP 14th will not be accepted.
JUDGING:
SEP 20TH - SEP 26TH
-Judging will take place online through a link available on Carnegie’s website and on the Facebook Event “Carnegie Scarecrow Competition.”
-Follow this link: Carnegie Arts Center - Alliance Nebraska - Adult Classes.
-The public will serve as the judge for the competition.
