Carnegie Arts Center and Keep Alliance Beautiful are teaming up again this 2018! Last year we collaborated the entire summer of 2017 for three months to create a mosaiced plastic lid mural of a bulldog. We'll be using the same process this year, new image. We want all community help and involvment! We will be having open sessions 4-5pm Wednesday nights beginning the first week of June. When the mural is complete we will be displaying it at the Knight Museum!
Carnegie Arts Center and Keep Alliance Beautiful collaborated together the entire summer of 2017 for three months to create this mosaiced plastic lid mural. Numerous groups and individuals within the community helped to create it. Open sessions were held every week for 12 weeks. Groups such as Native Futures, Girl Scouts, and Crossroads Assisted Living Center scheduled sessions. Bands on the Bricks attendees, old and young, worked on the mural as well.
Art in the Park
Passed for the 2017 year. Keep us in mind for the 2018 year!
The Sunday following the Heritage Days festival, the Carnegie, Knight Museum, and Historic Mainstreet all collaborate to provide the community with a funfilled day of music, food, athletics, games, and art! Art in the Park is Carnegie's contribution to the event. This year we created mixed media projects on wooden panels. In just one afternooon we served over 150 youth and their families. There were even adults and teens that got in on the fun!
